Can you choose to not parallel park on your drivers test?

I'm taking my driver's test for the first time tm and today i went out and practiced parallel parking.. i didn't do so hot. And it didn't do completly horriable either. I'm just not that good. i either "hit" the car in front of me, or im to far away. or i just freak out lol. Anyway, I was wonderin if when it's to that time of the test to parallel park, If you could just simply look over to the police officer and say " Hey do i have to parallel park, because i feel i will pass the test without doing so." and if you can't do that, and you do comepltely horriable, and you are completly side ways in the parking space some how do you fail the test?
