For the price and quality should I use vallejo paint Citadel (GW) paint or some other paint to paint my minis?

I have just purchased a chaos space marine army for Warhammer 40k; however, I have no idea which paints to use. I have seen many mixed reviews about many different paints. I am a beginner level painter, but I would like to achieve an end product like the one seen in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q9o7ie-8VI&feature=related). Is citadel (GW) paint the best paint to use on the warhammer figures, or is there another that is better (but around the same price or less). I also need to factor in how many pots of paint I will need (I have about 40 miniatures). As a result, if there is a high quality paint that can get me the same result as the one in the video and will last for more miniatures so I save a lot of money I would really want that paint. Any help is appreciated.
